I usually get Microgynon 30. Why have I been given Levest?

If your doctor or other healthcare provider has changed your prescription from Microgynon 30 to Levest, or your pharmacist has issued Levest against a generically written prescription, please don’t worry.

Levest is just as effective at preventing pregnancy and you can take Levest with confidence.

Levest contains exactly the same active ingredients at the same strength and dosage as Microgynon 30, and it works in exactly the same way as your old brand.

Apart from the change in the design of your packaging and the name of the company manufacturing your oral contraceptive pill, nothing else has significantly changed.
